From 2 Bookings a Month to a 6-Week Waitlist

How we designed a premium brand identity, built a high-converting portfolio site, and launched Meta Ads that turned Samuel Spenser from invisible freelancer to fully booked — in under 90 days.

The Problem

Samuel Spenser is a seriously talented photographer. Weddings, portraits, lifestyle, events — his work speaks before he does. The kind of photographer people rave about after the shoot, send to their friends, and book again within the year.

But the world didn't know that yet.

When Samuel came to us, he was averaging two bookings a month. His previous website was a basic template with no structure, no narrative, and no reason for a stranger to trust him with their wedding day or brand shoot. His Instagram was active but scattered — beautiful images with no strategy behind them. No paid ads. No funnel. No system converting attention into sessions.

What We Built — The Brand & Landing Page

Before we touched a single ad, we rebuilt Samuel's entire digital presence from the ground up.

Brand Identity: We crafted a visual identity that matched the quality of his work — refined, editorial, and unmistakably premium. Clean typography. Intentional spacing. A tonal palette that let the photography breathe while the brand whispered authority. Every design decision was made to position Samuel not as "a photographer" — but as the photographer.

The Landing Page: This wasn't a portfolio dump. We engineered every scroll to build trust and move visitors toward one action — booking a session. The site opens with a cinematic hero section that immediately communicates artistry and professionalism. Below that, we structured the narrative to answer every hesitation a potential client carries: "Is he any good?" — a curated portfolio grid with his strongest work. "Can I trust him?" — a glowing testimonial block with a 5.0 rating front and centre. "What does he actually offer?" — a clean services breakdown covering weddings, portraits, headshots, events, family sessions, and lifestyle. "What if I feel awkward?" — we even built in a mock text conversation that disarms nervousness before it starts.

We added trust signals throughout — 9,600+ photos taken, 100+ satisfied clients, 7-day turnaround promise, and a 30% rebook rate displayed with quiet confidence. The FAQ section pre-handles every objection. The CTA is woven into every section without ever feeling aggressive.

The site doesn't sell. It convinces. By the time someone hits "Book your session," they've already decided.

The Meta Ads Strategy

Once the brand and site were locked, we built a three-layer Meta campaign designed specifically for freelance creatives.

Layer 1 — Awareness: Carousel ads showcasing Samuel's best work across weddings, portraits, and lifestyle. Each creative was designed to stop the scroll — cinematic crops, moody edits, real emotion. We targeted 25–45 year olds in London and surrounding areas with interests in photography, weddings, fashion, and lifestyle events. No hard sell. Just art that demanded attention.

Layer 2 — Engagement Retargeting: Anyone who watched 50%+ of a video ad, engaged with a carousel, or visited the site got served a second wave — testimonial-led creative, behind-the-scenes content, and "limited availability" messaging. This is where trust compounds.

Layer 3 — Conversion: Bottom-of-funnel ads driving directly to the contact page with urgency hooks — "Now booking March–April" and "3 spots remaining this month." These ran exclusively to warm audiences who'd already interacted with Layers 1 or 2.

The Numbers — 90 Days In

$28,400+ in booked revenue generated from Meta Ads alone.

  • Total ad spend: $2,800 across 90 days

  • ROAS: 10.1× return on ad spend

  • Enquiries generated: 74 qualified leads

  • Conversion rate (enquiry → booked session): 31%

By month three, Samuel's calendar was full six weeks out. He raised his prices twice — once at the 45-day mark, again at 75 days — and demand didn't flinch.
